Farrow & Ball Cast Iron Radiator Finishes You Will Love
Posted by Radiators 4u on 17th Jan 2023
Farrow & Ball is a British paint manufacturer known for its high-quality, premium paint products. Farrow & Ball paints are made with rich, pigmented colours and formulated to be durable and long-lasting. As such, Farrow & Ball radiator paint is a popular finish selected by many of our customers when purchasing our classic Farrow & Ball cast iron radiators. But, is Farrow & Ball radiator paint the best choice of finish for your cast iron radiators?
Before completing any bespoke order, we always like to speak with our customers to ensure they have made the best possible paint choice for their individual needs and design choices.
F&B Heritage Paints for Cast Iron Radiators
At Radiators 4u, we believe our F&B Heritage range of paints is a better choice than Farrow & Ball paints, offering a superior finish on your cast iron radiators.
As a rapid enamel oil-based paint, our Heritage paints give a superior finish and coverage when compared to water-based Farrow & Ball products. In addition, the Heritage paint is easier to apply, requiring fewer coats and is less prone to showing fingerprints and other blemishes when the finish is applied.
Oil-based paints are also much more durable than their water-based equivalents. This fact is particularly important when used on radiators in high-traffic areas. And let's be honest; you don't want to be painting your radiators too often. This is especially true when you can easily wipe down oil-based paints to keep your radiators clean and retain their classic appeal.
Another option to consider when selecting paint finishes for your radiators is cost. Radiators 4u's F&B Heritage paints are more cost-effective than the more expensive range of Farrow and Ball paints.

Farrow and Ball comparison
The Heritage range offers a similar, comparable, choice of Farrow & Ball colours, giving your radiators a close match to your interior design choices. However, we always like to remind our customers regardless of their paint choice; it's not always possible to match the exact colour on your radiators to another feature in the room. For example, paint applied to textured Cast Iron Metal will likely appear different from paint applied to a flat plastered wall.
While most customers choose our F&B Heritage paints, we also understand that some clients will prefer to stick with their original choice of Farrow & Ball paint. This option will be slightly more expensive, and our in-house team of advisors will be happy to prepare a quote so you can compare both options.
